Now that we have gotten past the introduction and formalities of a new blog...I am looking forward to showing you all my less-than-proper self. I am just being honest, there is not a formal or proper bone in my body. They say "fake it to make it"...sooo...that is what I am doing most of the time. Behind all of the "please" and thank you's" is a much more sarcastic, fun-seeking, socially-awkward-at-times and often inappropriate, young adult who likes to pull pranks on people. Yep, I just described a child. I am a child, folks. In an adult body. I like all the normal things that most women like to do at my age, but there is definitely a general weirdness that coexists with my adulthood. Can anyone relate? Eh? In all seriousness though (ha!), what is the point of life if we don't have fun along the way?
That brings me to my next subject...I want to start a thing. I am calling it the "no face" hashtag. (#noface) I hereby designate this hashtag to all the things I hear or see during my week that come from adults, kids...and...well, myself...that I just, can't even. For example, I am going to tell a story about a "situation" that I found myself in while I was at my child's pediatrician office when he was 5 months old. This is the best story I can think of to drive the point home about the #noface hashtag. My oldest son, Leeland, was unusually vocal from a young age. He surprised us all by taking up the habit of saying "hi" to other people at the age of 5 months. When I took him to the doctor that day, he said "hi" to another gentleman in the waiting room. Taken back by such a young baby saying anything that made sense, the gentlemen quickly responded, "Wow, how old is he?" I told him Leeland's age. He then said, "He is so smart and advanced that I bet he will walk by the age of 2!" ..........Uuuhhhhh....Ya!
****Insert #noface hashtag here****
Are we all on the same page now about what constitutes a #noface hashtag? Ya? Got it!
My blog is a place where I share about my experiences in an uncensored manner so with that being said...hopefully I didn't just come off as a gigantic jerk or wildly offend someone. I am a person who strives to find humor in all areas of my life and that often comes from quirky situations such as this and others that I plan on telling as they happen. Hopefully you can appreciate a "no filter" style in my writing.
What are the best #noface moments you have experienced? I want to hear about them!
Lastly, I wanted to give a shoutout to all of you that have subscribed and liked/shared my post on social media! I was floored with the continual notifications and feedback I have received. I am feeling the love! Looking forward to sharing my life with you all! I find it only appropriate to leave you with a gif from my favorite sit com of all time...
