Monday. The elephant in the room that begs to be acknowledged so we do just that--acknowledge that it is here. BUT, what if today was wonderful? What if God has plans for me today? What if those plans are to simply be present with my kids? To see them in the midst of the chaos that is this season of life. To stop what I am doing, give them eye contact and listen to their stories. What if that was the sole purpose for today? Something that is seemingly insignificant. But, how are we to build His kingdom if we can't first learn to conquer the battles in our own home? Compliance and obedience are often disguised reactions of fear, misguidance and militance. What if we got to the root of what makes our kids tick? What if we stepped beyond what is required to win the hearts of our children and in return, we gained peace. Instead of mere compliance. Parenting is tough stuff! But the new lens that you get to look through to see yourself in is radical. The way He sees you. Be encouraged, and I challenge you to pull the beauty out of this Monday friends.
